I was travelling on business from Orlando to Tampa last week (12/23) in my relatively new Toyota Avalon. On my way over to Tampa, I had a dashboard warning light come on to tell me that my coolant temperature was hot. However, the message went away immediately and I made note to take the car into AutoNation Toyota of Winter Park (where I purchased the vehicle). On my return trip to Orlando, the warning light came on multiple times. When I called my local Toyota dealership, they suggested that I stop into your service department and have someone take a look. When I pulled up, Ryan Joslin came over to help me out. I described the situation and he took a look under the hood. He saw coolant splattered about the engine and called over a technician to take a look. The two of them conferred and thought it was best to service the car and suggested I not drive the car back to Orlando.
Keep in mind that it is the afternoon of December 23rd and the following day is Christmas Eve. I was very reluctant to heed their advice and really just wanted to get home to begin my Christmas holiday. I didn't want the hassle of getting a loaner car and have to deal with returning it the following day and taking time away from family. Ryan offered to service the vehicle the next day (a part had to be ordered…actually, an entirely new radiator had to be ordered), offered me a loaner car, and then offered to have someone from Toyota of Lakeland drive my car over on Christmas Eve and swap cars with me…all so that I wouldn't have to "deal with this on Christmas Eve". Wow.
As I mentioned above, my faith in good customer service was restored last week and I sincerely appreciate all that Ryan did to make this potential headache go away quietly. I had a wonderful Christmas Eve as a result of his focus on the customer and doing whatever it took to make my experience with Lakeland Toyota a positive one. Please pass along my sincere appreciation to Ryan and the entire service team at your location. - Scott

I had to let you know! Dealing with Lakeland Toyota has been more a family experience than a business transaction. My salesman, Dan Blavio, has always gone over the top to ensure that I am always satisfied and comfortable with my purchase. Once we choose the vehicle and the deal (the paperwork) has started Dan commits himself to you and ensures that you know exactly where you are during the application process. This is my second vehicle and I will be coming back to Lakeland Toyota! What a wonderful feeling to be treated like a person and not a number! September 5, 2015 - "Merits an acknowledgement....!"
Just wanted to inform you. Pat Wright has been outstanding also very patient with myself and my wife. He was determined to make our selection of the vehicle our choice. Pat was certain and confident we would drive home today with a new vehicle. Which we are indeed driving home with a vehicle my wife and family will enjoy. I know we posed a challenge because of our requirements and needs ( budget). Thanks to Pat Wright he has made my car buying experience a very pleasant and painless action.
I normally do not write comments. However I felt my experience at this dealership merits an acknowledgement. Thanks to Pat and his excellent customer service I will certainly come back to this location again. In the future of course.
