If you plan on towing around Winter Haven with your Toyota SUV, you want to be certain you choose one with the ability to get the job done. All 4Runner trims have a 4.0L V6 engine with 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft torque. This engine can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

The Highlander has two engines. The tow-friendly one is the 3.5L V6 that is available on the base and standard on the other trims. It has 295 horsepower, 263 lb-ft torque, and towing up to 5,000 pounds. (The base trim's standard engine, which is a 2.7L with 185 horsepower and 184 lb-ft torque, can tow up to 1,500 pounds.)

As you might expect, the RAV4 isn't exactly meant to tow heavy. The FWD models can tow up to 1,500 pounds, and the AWD models up to 3,500 pounds. All RAV4's are powered by a 2.5L with 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft torque.

Since we're discussing performance, we should talk about the 4Runner. What really sets it apart from the other models is its off-road capabilities and engineering. We're talking shocks, skid plates, locking rear differentials, and all the other engineering that makes it possible to safely take on off-road trails. Convenience Technology

The RAV4, 4Runner, and Highlander all come with a touchscreen that's at least 6.1-inches. Depending on the model and trim, you can get bigger displays. If having the most "advanced" touchscreen technology is important, we highly suggest going with the 2019 RAV4. Starting in 2019, the RAV4 will have Apple CarPlay™ smartphone integrations! This is an exciting partnership that many have been waiting for.
